Breaking News: Lewis and Cleveland to Rematch at Legacy FC 9

TheCageDoor.net has learned that Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis and Rakim Cleveland (2-1-0) have agreed to fight on the Legacy FC 9 card on Dec 16.

The two heavyweights first met back in November 2010 at WGC 2. Cleveland made his pro debut in the fight, and lost via arm bar in the second round. Since that fight he has rattled of two wins in a row, included a decision victory over Lewis’ Silverback team mate Dale Mitchell.

Lewis’ most recent fight only lasted 46 seconds as he made quick work of veteran fighter Jay Peche. Lewis recently fought for Bellator back in June of this year, where he lost a decision to Tony Johnson Jr.

The fight is slated to be part of the main card that will air on HDNet on the 16th and will most likely be the first telivised fight of the evening.

The Main card now looks like this:

  • Derrick Lewis vs Rakim Cleveland
  • Cody Williams vs Steve Garcia
  • Daniel Pineda vs Gilbert Jiminez
  • Jeff Rexroad vs Paul Kelly
  • Jorge “Macaco” Patino vs Mike Bronzoulis
