Sometimes in life we start over because we want to or need to. We usually do so in hopes that the fresh start will benefit us in a positive way.
But what if you are forced to start over? What if everything you had was taken from you in an instant and you were left with nothing but the clothes on your back?
What would you do?
I’m sad to report that one of our Houston MMA brothers is facing this very problem in life right now.
Many of you may or may not know Drew Ratichek. He’s a local fighter who’s been a round the Houston MMA scene for a very long time. You’d be hard pressed to find a more caring or more positive and upbeat person than Drew. Be it showing up to help feed the homeless, or donate blood at a blood drive, or even dedicating his fight to a 7 year old kid with Hodgkins Lymphoma (and then bringing him into the cage afterwards) – Drew has done a lot of good in and around the scene.
Sadly, last week ON THANKSGIVING, Drew’s lost everything he had in a house fire. Nothing was saved. The good news is that he was not home at the time, but what he returned to was nothing but a burned shell.
Left with nothing, Drew is pretty much starting over from scratch. In time insurance will help, but there is so much that insurance won’t cover. On top of that he needs some basic necessities now.
So I am asking you to donate what you can. There is no amount too small. If you can give $5, $50 or $500; in the end any amount is appreciated. 100% of the money you donate will go directly to Drew to help him start over.
To seed the pot, TheCageDoor.net has donated $150 and challenge ANY other companies out there to MATCH US!
Please help if you can. You can never fully grasp the impact of a tragedy like this until it happens to you.
PLEASE HELP US HELP DREW START OVER. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR DONATION!
