(Cedar Park, TX) – Admittedly 2010 was a rough year for Carlo Prater, probably the roughest in his 8 year career, but if his first fight of 2011 is any indication of things to come, we could be looking at a monster comeback. Prater finished 2010 going 0-2, but in his own words is now riding a “one fight win streak.”
Given a chance to prove himself again and declare himself “back”, Prater squared off against Bryan Travers (14-3) at Strikeforce Challengers 14 on February 18, 2011. Prater needed just :38 into the first round to beat Travers, locking in an Anaconda choke and locking up the victory.
Saul Soliz, who trained and cornered Prater for the fight, mentioned to TheCageDoor.net that if Prater can secure a few more wins, he could be looking at bigger and better things down the road in 2011 and 2012.
TheCageDoor.net’s Eric Hostetter was in Cedar Park for the fights and caught up with Carlo after his victory to get his thoughts on his performance.
