What about the Rumble In Humble? I want to see my cousins fight jackasses
you’re a douche
Man Kyle, you sure know how to sweet talk.
We didn’t video those fights as they already had a crew doing that. Sorry.
I don’t think this ‘kyle elite’ kid is from elite mma but im green-lighting every white belt named kyle just to teach a lesson in manners. Show some respect, jackass. These guys work very hard to cover your cousin’s sport.
Wait…so this guy Kyle Elite wasn’t joking? Please tell me he’s joking…
Yeah Jackasses! How come you didn’t videotape at an event you were not suppose to video at? Now I would also like to see your video of JFK’s assassination since you seem to have hidden videos .
Jackasses, I tell ya.
On a more positive note, and leaving the jackasses alone, I wanted to discuss the Schindler/Ramirez fight video. Seeing that I was in Schindler’s corner, I did not have the perspective of the camera, so I wanted to watch the entire fight three or four times so I could accurately comment on the fight itself. I’ve seen some people question the decision that went in Adam’s favor, and one judge had it 3 rounds to 2 rounds in favor or Ramirez.
In no way do I mean ANY disrespect to Marc Ramirez, the judge that scored it in his favor, or the fans that argued on behalf of Ramirez…but this fight is easily scored in Schindler’s favor.
Round 1 – All but the last few seconds were dominated by Adam. Taking a look at the entire round, it is easily scored 10-9 Schindler.
Round 2 – Same as round 1. Ramirez landed some nice shots, but Adam dominated the ground, had full mount, and almost choked Ramirez into submission. Again, taking a look at the entire round, it is easily scored 10-9 Schindler.
Round 3 – Ramirez had some great standup and controlled the majority of the round, avoiding the attempted takedowns by Schindler. Good round for Ramirez, scored 10-9 in his favor.
I don’t think anyone that knows how to score a fight would disagree with the above 3 round scores. The last two rounds seem to be the ones really discussed…
Round 4 – the standup battle for the first 30-40 seconds was even, neither fighter having an advantage. One minute into the round, there still hasn’t been any clear advantage, with both fighters seeming to fight with caution. Adam shoots in the middle and Ramirez slips out. At 1:20 of the round, Adam has a clear advantage as he has Ramirez pressed against the cage. Fighters break around the 1:45 mark, if the round ended now, it’s a 10-9 round for Schindler. A nice exchange just short of the 2:00 minute mark with Adam missing a single leg. Still at 2:10, Adam is being the aggressor in the round. At the 2:20 mark, Adam once again has control, pressing Ramirez against the cage. Goes for a takedown which is stopped but Adam now has the back of Ramirez, against the cage again. The 4th round ends with Adam in a dominant position, having the back of Ramirez for almost the last minute.
The 4th round was another round that was EASILY scored 10-9 for Schindler. That makes it 3 rounds to 1 round going into the 5th.
5th Round – the round starts with both fighters throwing nice combos, neither fighter again getting an advantage. In the first 40 seconds, Ramirez lands some really nice straight punches and Schindler answers with some punches and a nice leg kick. A failed takedown attempt follows as Ramirez slips out. Adam takes a couple of nice punches from Ramirez right around the 1 minute mark but then presses him against the cage. Adam keeps Ramirez pressed against the cage as Ramirez throws a few elbows to stay busy, then around the 1:40 mark, Adam lands a nice takedown after having Ramirez pressed against the cage for 40 seconds. For the next 1:20, Schindler transitions from guard to half guard and keeps Ramirez on his back, completely dominating the position.
Again, another round where the action was dominated by Schindler, controlling Ramirez against the cage for almost a minute then taking him down and keeping him there for the final minute and half.
With that being said, I score the fight 49-46 in Schindler’s favor. Again, in NO way to I take anything away from Marc Ramirez’s performance, he did great. If I’m being biased on my scoring above, please let me know what I missed.
Round 1 and Round 2 were dominated by Schindler. Round 3 was easily won by Ramirez. Round 4 was even on the feet and Schindler kept Ramirez pressed against the cage then transitioned to dominate position, taking his back. Round 5 was even for the first 40 seconds but the last 2+ minutes were completely dominated by Schindler. I’m really confused as to what round other than the 3rd that went in favor of Ramirez…especially with one of the judges giving TWO more rounds to Ramirez. If someone can see what I obviously cannot, PLEASE open my eyes.
I agree with your description of the bout.
I think some people are basing their opinion using Pride-style thinking, and putting a lot of weight on the few shots that seemed to rock Adam. Ramirez also finished rounds strong (spec. round 1) which may have swayed the judges/fans but in no way should that alter the scoring of the bout based on official criterion.
AAAHHHHHH!!!! he got me real good. great armbar domingo. i love fighting and i will keep fighting until, well, until i cant.
WOW!! Did someone really call US, jackasses?
Well… y’all ARE jackasses… but he’s got no business callin’ ya that. Ha!
This isnt my first rodeo in being called a jackass, jackass.
what about a douche because i, chris “buffalo” rose called you a douche????
i know yall discourage personal attacks on here but damn, you all do a great job at covering these events and for somebody to talk crap on that pisses me off so yes i personally called him a douche
lol, Chris, Eric is the one that shot the videos…he’s one of “us jackasses” and was responding to Kyle; he’s not the one who said it. But props for having our back, very much appreciated!
my bad, sorry eric
Douches and Jackasses! Suck it TXMMA!
Classy!
I’m confused. So who are the jackasses and who are the douches? I wanna be on the jackass team.
ooo i prefer redcoat myself!
@Regan, I agree with all your rounds on the Schindler/Ramirez fight except for the 4th round. I would have given it to Ramirez. I think his standing game outweighed the pressing up against the fence that Schindler did for a total of a little less than a minute. But that still give Schindler 3 rds to 2 rds. The only thing i can think of when it comes to people saying Ramirez won that fight hands down, Schindler didn’t do much when he had him pinned either on the cage or on the mat. It was kind of like watching Couture vs. Vera again. Alot of people thought Vera won that fight. Vera dominated 3 minutes of that entire fight and damaged Couture for those 3 minutes. But Couture had Vera pinned against the cage for the other 12 minutes but did not do any damage at all. Pinning someone against the cage but not doing much damage does not mean the other guy wins that round. Because what did the other guy do to win? Being pinned is still more dominant than nothing at all. To me, that’s kind of how the last 2 rounds went. obviously you were not watching the fight if you don’t agree that Schindler won 1 and 2 and Ramirez won 3 hands down. So it came down to the last 2 rounds. I think the casual fans just looks at it as a street fight. The one that gets hit more loses. That’s just how i think about this fight. Overall it was a freakin WAR!!! I can’t wait to see this Ramirez guy once he gets more experience under his belt. They both showed a lot of heart and so far one of my favorite fights of the year.
I just think it’s funny how everyone talks about all the damage I took and didn’t inflict, when in actuality I walked out of that arena with no stitches, he on the other hand did. hhhmmmm…
I honestly feel like everyone expects that if I don’t DOMINATE a rd, I lose that rd
I forgot that your all experts though
If you notice the exchanges, I hit him too, ya’ll act like I was Koscheck just eating shit the whole time
i did enjoy the fight and congrats on the win but i do have a question for you. have you thought about a rematch with derek campos? the fight you two had in austin was badass!!!!! i remember you lost by unanimous decision but it looked closer than that.
I think round one should have been scored 10-8 for shindler.
I agree that Adam won. I have no debate on that, but i did not leave with any stiches and all of my damage came only in the first round when Adam had me in the crucifix. This was only my third fight againgst his tenth. Im not making any excuses but i believe i did a hell of a job. I’ll put this out there if Adam believes he dominated me, he wouldnt mind a rematch! I lost to a split decision not a K.O. or submisson, but i admit that guillatin was tight as hell! That was my first lost in my short career and i would love to avenge it!
Marc…you earned a lot of fans that night bro. Adam is tuff tuff dude and has lots of experience…i also had adam as the winner 3-2 but i havne’t re watched the fight. I will say this…hold your head high…lots of good things are comming and i admire the way you fought without fear bro. You went in there to win..not try your best…you quickly became one of my favorite guys to watch fight anywhere. I guess you will be fighting my good friend Jesus Rivera next…and i think you guys have the styles to make it a fantastic fight!!! Can’t wait to see you in action again.
I think Buffalo couldn’t have said it any better. And I told ya’ll watch out for Ramirez, he has just as much potential as any one on the Houston scene. I’m not being biased either, I don’t even know the guy just seen him fight two other times and was impressed. 10-8 rd c’mon not even close. But great fight and anyone who’s fought knows by watching, both those guys had to dig deep and straight up showed a true Warriors heart……
Scratch that , I meant Buda couldn’t have said it any better.
Y’all can say what y’all want but this kid Marc (only 20 years old!!) took it to Adam. Period. Adam didn’t finish him, no ko, no sub, no ref stoppage…nothing. Mongoose won in my book. He showed tons and I mean TONS of heart. The future is bright for this kid and some other ones that I’ve been keeping an eye on. Thank you cagedoor for all you guys do!! Kepp us updated!! Thanks again guys.
LOL…H-town mma fan. I do agree that marc has tons of heart and will be a star in this mma world, but he did not “take it to adam”. Have u actually watched the fight again without your ramirez colored glasses? The kid did great but the fight was controlled 4 out of 5 rounds by adam. Mongoose may have won in ur book, but he left with the loss unfortunately and even marc says above that he lost the fight.
I guess since adam didn’t finish him, no ko, no sub, no ref stoppage…nothing that means he won? The object of a mma fight is not to just “survive” it is to “win”. Moral victories are great but they only go so far.
This kid will be really good, he already is, and we all look forward to seeing him fight again soon. He has a bright future.
Right on Frank….both guys fought balls out! it was crazy. when marc first got u from under adam…i thought to myself…WE GOT A FIGHT!!! And it didn’t dissapoint. Adam showed his cast iron chin that Melancon spoke about..he ate some serious shots and had no quit in him.
But adam..did those treetrunk legs get tired from feeding all that muscle??
jackass? Someone wants to get SLID
The Schindler vs Ramirez, fight was one total war.I’ve been a fan of Adam’s since seeing him in Austin,in another,of what I’d call , a fight of the night,There is no quit in him,he puts on a great fight always, and has a chin from hell.Marc Ramirez,is one of the toughest guys around as well, for only having 2 fights, and going toe to toe with a fighter like Adam with, 9 fights to begin with, what a stud.No matter which one of those warriors to win went to,the real winners where the fans that got to see that fight.
