TheCageDoor.net has learned that Bellator’s Adam Schindler will miss his next scheduled fight against Genair da Silva at Bellator 52 in Lake Charles, LA on October 1, 2011.
Schindler suffered a 1 inch cut on his forehead while training for the fight.
“We were going slow, just like we have done thousands of times. I shot at the same time his [Daniel Pineda] leg came up for a kick. I knew as soon as I finished the take-down that I was cut. I could feel the blood and saw it pouring down onto Daniel. I reached up, touched it and I could feel my skull,” Schindler told TheCageDOor.net.
Schindler was told by doctors that he can’t train or get the cut wet for at least 3 weeks.
“He told me I can’t get it wet, get my sweat or anybody elses sweat in it. I’ve called and asked the Dr. 3 different times, but every time he’s told me the same thing, no training and no fighting,” Schindler said.
No word on when Schindlers next fight for Bellator will be, but keep an eye on TCD and we’ll let you know.
