Campuzano suffers loss
TCD.net #2 ranked Bantamweight Will Campuzano lost to Eddie Wineland at WEC 49 in Canada. Campuzano never seemed to find his rhythm in the fight and eventually buckled under a barrage of precision strikes form the former WEC Bantamweight champ, Wineland.
Rivas gets an opponent, Bellomy/Barringer back on
As if the Legacy Card on July 31 wasn’t already packed, TCD.net has learned of two additional bouts that have been added to the card.
Jordan Rivas will be squaring off against Julian Melendez. This will be Rivas’s pro debut.
After having the original fight canceled due to Bellomy getting injured, the Arron Barringer vs Greg Bellomy fight is now back on.
IXFA Card Announced
Fresh off of signing a 6 fight deal with the Verizon Wirless Theatre, the IXFA has given TCD.net and exclusive sneak peek at their upcoming card for their Aug 14th show.
(Subject to Change)
195 Brian Lightfoot vs Josh Foster
205 Edgar Verdin vs Jordan Clissold
155 Nick Felder vs Mike Goss
155 Josh Lee vs Kirk Gibson
185 Aaron Davis vs Andrew Craig
170 Art Ortiz vs Jeremy Morris
145 Kevin Fanning vs Prince Ho
210 Chad Cook vs Jared Taylor
155 Kyle Miers vs Jose Santibanez
Interesting note on the main event: Kyle Miers is the current 155lb IXFA champ and Jose Santibanez is the current 145lb title holder. Kyle beat Pineda (Jose’s brother) last July to win the 155lb title, so there is a definite revenge factor in this fight.
