Robo New SHINE Fights Match Maker

If you haven’t read the article yet, Chad ‘Robo’ Robichaux has taken over as Shine’s matchmaker, and intends to have events in neighboring Louisiana. Not to leave Houston out of the picture he has indicated that Legacy promotions will be used as a Shine feeder, certainly upping the profile of many Houston fighters.

Latest Jan. 29 Legacy FC Card

Added to the card is the Brian Melancon/Derrick Krantz fight.  Changes include Andy Sandoval stepping in to replace Nate “Nate Dogg” Garza, David Mclung replacing Marc Garcia, and Rey Trujillo replaces Kenny Burke.  Removed from the card is Alex Cisne vs Jonathan Harris.

Gracie Barra Westchase Opening Soon

Gracie Barra Westchase is looking to open it’s doors next week for it’s first class and is accepting enrollments at present, adding another Gracie Barra school in the Houston area.

Alonzo Replaces Leal

Following our previous announcement that Anderson Leal had closed his school and moved to Florida, we can confirm that this is a temporary move and he aims to return and teach again in Houston later in the year. In the meantime, Adrian Alonzo, ranked #1 USA open division in judo is teaching his students. For those interested in contacting Adrian his cell is 832-221-1291. News

We’ve already announced our Community Awards Winners and Amateur Awards Winners.  Pro Awards Winners will be announced on Jan 8 and Pro and Amateur fighter of the year will be Announced on Monday Jan. 11.
