JDF Set to Make Pro Debut

Wednesday night marks the pro debut of Jason David Frank of Power Ranger Fame. JDF will face Robert Vasquez at Puro Combate.  The complete card (as sent to us) is:

Melancon upsets Moore, Pineda wins title and Harris gets 5 second KO:

July 31 marked the 3rd ever Legacy FC event, and is regarded by many as the best card ever in the history of Houston MMA.  There were upsets, submission, nasty cuts, wars in the cage and the quickest KO in Legacy history (5 seconds by Jonathan Harris).

NOTES

Preliminary Card released for the September 18th Lonestar Beatdown

TheCageDoor.net has been given a sneak peek at the preliminary card for the upcoming Sept 18 LSB and it looks stacked with FOUR title fights scheduled and 18 fights in total.  Realistically (and as is the case many times with ammy cards) some of these fights won’t make it onto the final card, but looking at the match-up, there are some very good non title fights included.

  • …Gracie Barra black belt Ted Stickel is rumored to be accepting the BJJ head coach position at Westside MMA. Professor Stickel brings many years of experience and would be an interesting choice to replace the recently departed Paul Thomas.
