According to MMA Weekly, the UFC is headed back to Houston. Dana White announced today at the UFC fan expo that the largest MMA promotion in the world is bringing their fan expo to the bayou city. According to the post, this will be the first time the UFC has done a fan expo in Texas.
No official word on if the UFC will hold a card here as well, but chances are pretty good with the fan expo being here as well.
“The weekend of October 8 would presumably serve as a UFC pay-per-view as well, but it’s unknown at this time what numbered event that would end up being,” the post stated.
The post also added “White mentioned earlier in the week that UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez could return in October, and with an event of the magnitude of a Fan Expo being attached, a title fight between the champion and the winner of Junior Dos Santos and Brock Lesnar could be just the headliner the UFC is looking for.”
