Houston native Mike Swick has been injured once again during training and has been pulled from his UFC 134 match with Brazilian Erick Silva, who will be making his UFC debut on the card. The UFC hopes to announce a new opponent for Silva in the coming days.
Swick gave some details regarding the injury on his Twitter page. “Yes rumors are true. I tore my knee today wrestling. Will get MRI results in am but Dr thinks torn MCL, ACL and possibly meniscus. Got my health and size back and was having best fight camp of my career then one small twist during training. Can’t catch a break sometimes.”
This is the latest in a long line of injuries and illnesses to Swick, who has dropped two straight fights to fall to 14-4. This would have been his first fight since being choked out by Paulo Thiago at UFC 109 in February 2010.
