Jorge “Macaco” Patino(26-13-1), fresh off a unanimous decision victory against Mike Bronzoulis to defend his Legacy welterweight title, will take his next fight in his home country. Macaco will travel to Porto Alegre, Brazil to take on Luta Livre fighter Johlil de Oliveira(16-14-1) under the Kumite Combate promotion.
Oliveira, like Macaco, has a storied history in Brazilian MMA, having split two fights against the great “Pele”. He has also faced Carlos Newton and Rafael dos Anjos. The fight replaces the planned bout between Macaco and Pele. Pele recently started training again with Chute Boxe, Macaco’s team in Brazil and Pele’s original team, and the fight can no longer happen.
Also scheduled on the same card is 51 year old former UFC heavyweight champion Maurice Smith taking on UFC castoff Tim Hague.
