(Houston,TX) – According to an article just released by AJ Hoffman of the Houston MMA Examiner, former UFC vet and Gold Team Houston’s own Jorge “Macaco” Patino will be fighting Joe “Jitsu” Christopher at King of Kombat on April 9 in Austin.
One of the most accomplished fighters on the Houston MMA scene today, Jorge Patino is unsure why he has had such a hard time finding a fight in Texas. Patino, who runs the Gold Team gym in Houston which includes top UFC lightweight, has been trying to find a fight in the Lone Star state since his loss to Andre Galvao at Strikeforce card in August. He has finally found an opponent and a promoter willing to put together a fight. His camp has reported that he will take on Joe “Jitsu” Christopher on April 9th for King Of Kombat in Austin, TX at the Palmer Event Center.
“I have been waiting a long time for this,” Patino said. “I am very happy that someone from Texas has agreed to fight me. Thank you to Joe Christopher.”
