conor- i certainly agree with you especially about the economy and cost of seminars being pretty high. I have personally worked very hard at ACS to bring affordable seminars and negotiated some pretty awsome rates. We have robson moura for $60 next week and i plann on bringing more in the 20-60 dollar range. hope anyone that wants to train comes out.

Drew seems like a genuine person with a great sense of humor, and a level-headed approach to what Houston-area jiu-jitsu should be. However, I personally believe that poor attendance of these seminars has to do with other things rather than discouragement.

1. Houston is a huge city that isn’t easily traversed (over an hour from one side to the other)

2. The recession has hit a lot of the blue collar folk who train in jiu-jitsu pretty hard. Not a lot of people can afford 60-150 dollars on top of their gym fees.

That being said, we have been encouraged at Elite MMA (Baytown) to use several different outlets to develop our BJJ game. I’m gonna be attending a few of the local seminars, and I’ll be encouraging my friends/teammates to do the same.

Whats up Drew its Miguel its good to hear ur fighting is still going well keep in touch, and its true about people being so protective of there students when we can all learn something from somebody kepp up the good work bro cant wait to see u at another tournament and see how much u have improved

I can say with great certainty that Drew is in the best possible place he can be to train. I also train at ACS and look forward to watching Drew grow into a beast in his own right. The guy literally took on our entire strike class one night and managed to gain superiority every time. Watch out Luke!
