School in south east houston
« on: April 09, 2011, 09:02:57 AM »
I'm currently looking for a gym to train at. From this website I've seen that there are 4 gyms around me. ACS, Submission Boxing, Bushi Ban, and Gracie houston. I was just curious which gym would be the best to look into if i want to eventually compete. Thanks

Standard answer (and the right one) is to try them all out. Go to each for a week or two and then from their figure out the one you like the best.

Are you looking to compete in MMA or BJJ or both?

I am biased because im ACS....  go to www.houstonbjj.com for more info.

But barry is honestly right...try training at each of them see what fits YOU best.  each gym will have a different style and a different type of training.

I really really shouldn't do this... ;D but theres another gym down this way also called 646 MMA....i know im not helping myself here but ultimately you will only keep training if youre happy with where you are so check them out to and see what you think of all the places.

Also feel free to email me on our above listed website and ill be happy to call you or email back.  Best of luck and have fun!
