Dana White Announces UFC-WEC Merger

You’re either going to love this, or hate it. I for one think it’s a good move by “Dolo-White” to merge the two promotions. I don’t think the WEC has been promoted that well, at least compared to the UFC. You only have guys like Urijah, Miguel Torres, etc. who are really marketable enough to sell tickets. Thoughts?

in my opinion its nothing but positive. It now means that the lighter weight class fighters can make bigger money and get the exposure they deserve. it also means I no longer have to look at the tribal design intro at the beginning of each WEC.

LOL! I forgot about that. And the money will be good as well. I like how he is bringing on everyone, the production crew and all. There are no layoffs going on with Zuffa.

Barry:
I think it's good and bad.

Good in that it gives guys below 155 a shot at the big time now...bad in that absolute power corrupts absolutely.

TheTruthJackson:
Something that just crossed my mind. The next UFC game will have all the WEC fighters (in theory). This means that EA Sports' MMA game will be a one and done game, in my opinion of course.
