Cutting Weight
« on: October 25, 2009, 06:45:20 PM »
Any experienced wrestlers or fighters have good info on cutting weight.  I know from experience this can be a dicey thing for many fighters/grapplers because if done improperly it can lead to severe fatigue/illness or not get you down to your weight.  I know this is something much like diet a workout that needs to be tweaked to each individual but having a good source to build from would be good.
I made you, and I can flush you

Start slow if you rnot experienced.  I cut around 28 lbs last feb.  not the most fun ive ever had. My nutritionist will walk anyone through it and so it with a scientific apporach.  Check out Michael Florida at instute of eating management.  www.eatingmanagement.com

One thing to realize is that a person can DIE from cutting too much weight.   I know its not highly common but i can start listing off local fighters who have been hospitalized with life threatening issues.  When you dehydrate your kidneys can shut down and this is no joke.  don't play with it guys.  Its smarter to get a professional to help you out.  Youll be amazed what a pro can tell you that you don't know.   for example how to prevent you rbody from producing its natural diuretic and cause you to lose less weight while drinking less.
