HOW TO POST A PICTURE

Be warned that there are some sites who don't allow hot linking (Blogspot is one of the worst) so if you post a picture it may not show up.

To post a picture:


1. Copy the URL of the picture.  The easiest way to do this is to browse to the picture in your web broswer, then copy EVERYTHING listed in the address bar, including the HTTP://.  You can also right click on the picture you want and choose "Copy Image URL" or "Copy Image Address" or something like that (it all depends on the browser you are using).  For this example, I'm going to use the following pic - http://westsidewill.com/newblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/Gina-Carano.jpg

2.  Paste the URL into your post.  It should look like this:

http://westsidewill.com/newblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/Gina-Carano.jpg

3.  Highlight the URL that you just pasted (including the HTTP:// )

4.  There are a bunch of icons above the yellow smileys.  On the bottom row, the second button from the left is used to put image tags around an image URL. With the your URL highlighted, click on this button (When you hold your mouse over it, it should say "Insert Image").

5.  When you click on the button, it will surrond your image with the following tags [ img]  [ /img].  Here is an example:

[ img] http://westsidewill.com/newblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/Gina-Carano.jpg [ /img]

(I've added a space in both examples so that the text would show up).
