Not to down the rankings by any means, BUT how does Joe Cruz make anyones rankings after his latest debacle?
Why am i not on here again? And i thought Santibanez was a 155er. But it is alot better than last time since these are my only comments.
It’s good to see Jon Kirk on here. He’s a hell of a fighter.
I wanna see Rivas vs Gardner!
I would also like to see Rivas vs. Gardner. I think that match is a long time coming and has to happen sometime, hopefully in the pros at a future Legavy event!
I think Craig is fighting Jeff Rexroad soon on the next Legacy card. That shoud be one hell of a rematch as well!
I’m with Mike Jackson…why is Joe Cruz even ranked….?
Why would Cruz not be ranked? He pulled out of a fight. While the way he pulled out was disrespectful the result is the same as if he had pulled out weeks ahead of time instead of hours. Lack of depth in that weight class also leaves fewer choices.
the thing about the rankings is that they are not perfect and never will be….ever. there is no perfectly scientific way to accomplish that. And Cruz should be ranked because thus far he is decent fighter. People may be mad but that doesn’t change his fighting abilities.
And for the record Im flattered to be ranked #1 ammy but i personally believe that Taylor is better than me. Thanks guys and looking forward to seeing how everyone does in the upcomming summers fights.
jon mack got beat twice once by jason frank, and by josh foster…it shows his record 0-1-0…jus curious..
Only one pro fight for Mack. …JDF fight was ammy
oh…thanks
Guess you guys got the gift baskets, thanks for the #1 rankings.
Glad to see my man Edgar finally get the respect he deserves. This Guy hits like he has bricks in his gloves. Believe me I know, after a couple black eyes and a cut I’ve felt the power first hand. Shit i have him to thank for a lazy left eye…..haha! Really though. FYI he won his first pro boxing match tonight by first round ko. No disrespect Artenas but he’s gonna for you.
Meant gunning for you Artenas
pineda is 10 -7
@Digital – Good catch (in fact, I think I heard today that he’s 11-7) I’ll update the database later today.
thanks guys its awesome that you picked me to be #1 @ 135!!also you need to swap the featherweight and flyweight names:)
Hoger just won his fight in Indiana, :50 seconds 1st round via Arm Triangle! Can’t wait to see him fight here in Houston again.
thanks cage door for the love and ranking me #1. . . .now its time to put work in the pro division.. . . . . .
well cagedoor big Thanks for the #1 spot….now its time to keep my name there now that its there…u guys are doing awesome things keep up the great work
Artenas win smash on Edgar…c’mon now…
hey frank solinas who won the pro boxing match by r1 ko?
they say pineda is doing 155 and 145 i think thats more good fights for him. like the top 155 when is he fighting in H -town and when is jon kirk fighting ???????
Edgar Verdin won the boxing match by ko rd 1
Thanks Cage door, and all the surrounding Local Mixed Martial Artist for the Flyweight number ONE Spot…
Johnny Bedford is not a 145er, he’s a 135er. He’s ranked #32 in the world @ 135 by fightmatrix.com
Plus, not to down play your rankings but i’m convinced that there might be only 2 guys in the top 10 pro 135, that could even come close to giving me a good fight, and one of those in the WEC.
Fightmatrix.com has me listed at #75 in the world at 135 and yall don’t even have me listed in the top ten 135ers in tx..insulting!
Douglas Frey
Douglas, have you fought in Houston in the past 18 months? That may be the issue since that is one of the requirements.
Thank for the visit Doug. I’m sorry you are insulted, but if you’d have read the criteria for our rankings before you posted, you’d realize that you don’t qualify to be ranked because you’ve never fought in Houston. To that point, you mentions “…in Texas”. We area Houston based site, not a Texas based site.
Also, I’m not sure what fightmatrix.com has to do with the rankings on our site, but I’ll check them out if I have a chance.
So Do we see a Chico vs Edgar on the horizon….? i see that certain consituants are campaigning for just such a match!!
On a side note: The 205lb division will prob be getting thicker as we anticipate the return of the FIRST EVER HEALTHY Jason Sullivan. Hopefully Sully will continue to heal up and get the substantial injuries he fought with before behind him. Im excited to see him back as my friend and training partner and I know the fans always love it.
Do we have a Frank Salinas vs Eric Garcia matchup coming soon????? What do you say Frank?? I say Frank by T.K.O. if the fight stays standing!! Garcia by submission IF HE CAN GET IT to the ground!!!! salinas vs. Ola will be good to, Go get that redemption Frank for your teammate!!
no carlo prater on the list?
I don’t think Prater has fought in Houston in the last 2 years.
yo pimp c eric has SICK striking…the guy is the real deal very well rounded im willing to bet my MW2 disck hes gonna be champion…just a matter of time.
LOL..why you starting stuff drew…jk…you know chico is always ready for war..but i aint discrediting other dude he is doing his thang, but i think Chico will win hands down..
@Frank if Edgar is gunning for Artenas why is his fight on July 31 at 185 instead of 205? Just asking.
Rasta I encourage you need to go back an read your team mates quote in his interview “This is my life. I am looking to make waves at 185lbs. It won’t be easy to make 185 coming from 215, but with discipline and sacrifice I’m going to do it.”-Artenas Young
Just saying.
@Ghostman…so what are “you” saying…you really just said something someone else said!!..and that was a while bacc he is not far from 185 though…dont matter when he drops to 185 he still gonna smash on dudes…c’mon now…lol..
@hucc
What I am saying is just what I said.
No mas, no menos.
@ Ghostman Edgar was signed to fight at 185 before the interview was done. And why is everyone in your gym speaking for him? Just like at the Lonestar. Edgar was not talking trash it was all the little “hand models” that were talking. From what I see he is the only one with class at your gym. But that is my inly my unhumble opinion.
that last sentence should say “…only my unhumble opinion.”
@ Rasta
I am actually not part of Edgar’s camp or gym.
However I am confused and want to know how you are drawing out your time line on the weights and dates. The Artenas interview was on 12/09 and I would bet heavily and fairly certain that contracts for the fight you are referring to did not start being signed until after 3/10. I am not bashing Artenas. You questioned Edgar and the chronology of events did not fit the time line? That is all.
@ghostman…??..okay??
@Ghostman my fault. I did not know what interview you were talking about. @Hucc lol
Todd Moore has a fight scheduled at 155……just sayin
@ pimp c. I always appreciate your comments man even though I don’t know you. But to answer your question or request I’ll fight anybody anytime. No picking or choosing from me. And rasta 420 what are you talking about hand models, i was there. The only big mouths I know are a few people out of hoger mma, and that’s Artenas, Sam, and you. And now you wanna show Edgar all this respect after he put your boy to sleep.
@Frank…you sound like a big mouth over the computer…that’s pretty big…lol..and for the record Artenas and Sam bacc there taLk up…do you think you can beat them??..lol..that was a retorical question..of course not..
@Hucc stop. @ Frank message me so we don’t do this on here
Hucc, why does someone who makes a statement always have to be a fighter? why does Frank have to fight to prove what he says? At least we know who Frank is and hes respected in the game, who the f is hucc? Everyone that was there saw Hogars guys make an ass out of themselves Rasta aside, never seen him act that way.
Hucc, you have to be the biggest dick rider in Houston MMA. If TheCageDoor ever does a pound for pound top ten for biggest dick riders, you’ll have the top spot locked up. I’m sure if Sam and Artenas have something to say, they will say it, I doubt they need you to speak for them.
And for god’s sake, learn how to spell and punctuate, this isn’t some thugged out hip-hop site.
Aww man, this is why we can’t have nice things! I’d like to remind you guys that this is a place for good heated discussion NOT personal attacks. You can do that junk in the forums using the Official Shit Talking Thread
@sicca…get off mine, does your butt hurt from something i said.. you sound like a bigger one..
@ Billybob…he spoke on them dudes first he dont gotta do anything to prove nothing to me fool…k lil bill kicc bacc, take a breath and hold it till ya pass out…
@ admin..my bad i thought i was keeping it in the lines until these two friut cakes started opening their pie holes….i like the sight my apologies to the CageDoor.
@Rasta…cool my bad
