Moura makes trip to Houston

The term legend is sometimes thrown around a little to liberally, but when the crew at American Combative Systems in Webster, TX, tells you they are bringing in a legend to conduct a seminar you better believe they are not messing around. Back in January they brought us Relson Gracie. Keeping to the high standards they set with the Relson Gracie seminar, the crew at ACS stepped up and brought Houston Robson Moura, the seven time World Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Champion and six time Brazilian Champion.

Master Robson walked the packed house through some great techniques, and he made sure that everyone in attendance understood the maneuver before moving on to the next position. After showing the technique, Master Robson walked around and fixed minor details with each attendee. His attention to the little details really made his seminar stand out. At the end of the day, Master Robson sat down and opened up for questions and you could see how much he enjoyed just talking with the group. When question time was over instead of leaving quickly Master Robson could be found on the mat rolling with students. This type of openness and joy for the sport is what makes Robson Moura a true legend.

The city of Houston is lucky to have gyms like ACS and others who bring in these top tier instructors for us to learn from. TheCageDoor.net would like to send a big thank you to the team at American Combative Systems for inviting us out to experience this seminar and another thank you to Master Robson Moura for his kindness.

A note from Drew Ratichek at ACS: “American Combative Systems would like to extend a special thank you to Xtreme MMA/Nova Uniao TX in Corpus Christi, and Robert and Mercedes Villegas owners and head instructor, for helping to bring Master Robson here for this seminar. Both Robson Moura and his school, Nova Uniao TX, went above and beyond to make this happen.”
