Rd1: Both guys start with a kick. Garcia gets a clinch but when they go down it’s King on the top. He lands a little and works to the back. Garcia turns over but King is still on top. King fires a couple of punches and Garcia goes flat. The second shot wakes him up but it’s too late. Ref has stopped it.

Rd1:Williams opens up with a leg kick. He throws another as Garcia paws in trying to find his range. William charges and a right hand lands flush and knocks Garza back a step. Leg kicks landing for Williams and he throws one high. The back end of a 1-2 crushes Garza and he goes down in a heap. Ref waves it off. WOW!

Rd1:Evert with a high kick. Morono answers with a kick. Solid left hand lands for Gutierrez. Kick to the body for Gutierrez. He throws another and Morono catches it. Gutierrez spins into him and lands a backfist. They clinch up against the cage. Gutierez landing knees to the body as Morono punches upward. The ref separates them. Morono lands a good right hand. Gutierrez charges with a punch and clinches again. Morono punches his way off the cage and they reset in the middle. The two exchange leg kicks. Gutierrez throws a high kick and Morono sweeps him to the ground. Morono pounces and lands a couple good shots before the round ends.
Rd2:Both guys are tentative to start the second. They paw with kicks and punches until Evert throws a spinning high kick. It misses but it gets both guys busy. Evert again with a high kick that Morono slaps away. Morono breaks a clinch with a good right hand. Gutierrez is throwing wide looping punches and Morono is punishing him inside for it. Morono lands a good combo. Evert answers back with one of his own. Morono answers a low kick with a right hand. Both guys swinging and missing as the round ends.
Rd3: Morono ducks under a combo and lands an uppercut. Evert pushes forward and lands punches. Morono is backing up but recovers. Body kick from Morono. Looping right misses for Gutierrez. Morono jumps in for a combo that is short. Gutierrez lands a jab but misses the follow up hook. Gutierrez kicks low. He tries to go high but Morono checks it. Morono slips and Evert lands a left hand that hurts him. He lets Morono recover and again Alex is the aggressor. Tough fight to score.

Rd1: Bush paws in with a punch and grabs a clinch and throws Foster to the mat. Foster has half guard but Bush is landing punches from the top. Foster sits up and Bush grabs his head and starts pounding to the body. This goes on til the ten second clap when Bush tries for a guillotine. Foster is in good enough position to survivie, but Bush takes the round. 10-9 Bush..
Rd2: Foster throws a couple of punches before Bush takes him down. Foster has a guillotine for a second but can’t hold it and Bush is on top. G00d wrist control from Foster and he is not taking as much damage as last round. Bush postures up and tries to pass but Foster grabs a half guard. He gets the pass but Foster sits into him. Foster looks to get up but Bush throws him back down and is in a mounted crucifix. The bell saves Foster, but the round goes to Bush. 10-9.
Rd3: Bush shoots in and elevates Foster. He spikes him down into side control. Foster holding onto the head but I don’t think he can do much with it. Bush gets the head out and is pounding. He tries to mount but is caught in half. Bush peppering but not hurting Foster and the ref restarts them. Foster throws a looping right hand that is short. Good leg kick from Foster. Foster swings an uppercut. Bush rushes in and gets hit hard. His corner yells at him to shoot but he backs away and rides out the round. Should be 10-9 and 30-27.

Rd1: Lewis is first with leg kicks. He kicks to the body. Talavera doesn’t look uncomfortable. Lewis landing to the legs, inside and out. A hard outside kick makes Talavera hop on one leg. Neither guy willing to commit to an attack. As I type that Talavera charges in with the clinch and pulls him down. Talavera has a body triangle but Lewis stands up out of it. Talavera shoots again as the round ends and they both end up on the mat when the bell sounds. Close round. I give it to Lewis, 10-9.
Rd2:Lewis lets his hands go early and staggers Talavera. He recovers quickly and they reset. Lewis is definitely the faster guy. Talevera reaches in with a stiff jab. Talavera charges in and presses Lewis into the cage with the clinch. They walk across the cage clinched and Talavera gets the takedown. Talavera moves to side control and lands some knees. Lewis works his way up but Talavera has a darce and rolls down into it. Lewis powers out and lands a strong hook. Talavera reeling but the end of the round saves him. Talavera 10-9.
Rd3:Talavera lands a jab to start. Lewis with a nice spinning back kick to the gut. Lewis firing off his jab. Talavera throws a combo but no damage. Stiff jab from Lewis. He is picking him apart with jabs. Talavera shoots but a good sprawl from Lewis. Talavera fires a hook and Rashon answers with a straight left. Lewis avoids a shot from Talavera as the round ends. 10-9 Lewis.

Rd1:Both of these guys were heavy weights not too long ago. Crowe comes in aggressive with his hands. Villanueva lands a shot then Crowe shoots in for a takedown. Crowe looks strong. Crowe passes to half guard. Ike recovers full guard and lands some hard elbows from the bottom. Crowe picks him up and tries for a slam. Holy shit! Ike is going for a triangle! It isn’t there but the thought alone surprises me. Ike against the fence now and walks his way up. He lands a shot to the body. Now Ike picks him up for the takedown. Doesn’t do much with it and they reset. Crowe lands a couple of good punches then Ike grabs him and tees off. Crowe gets underhooks and pushes Ike to the fence. Ike punches his way off the cage. Ike lands an uppercut. They finish the round in the clinch. Both guys looking tired! 10-9 Crowe.
Rd2: Slow start to the second, but Ike eventually presses Crowe against the cage. He lands a knee but can’t do much more before a break. Larry paws with a jab and Ike answers with a right. Crowe throws a head kick that lands flush. Ike is out. Wow! What a finish. Crazy upset and a huge win for Larry Crowe!

Rd1: Malbrough lands leg kicks early. He bounces around. He jumps in with a clinch and throws knees to the body. Malbrough pulls him down and Rexroad gets his leg up behind the neck. He looks to elbow but Malbrough defends nicely. Rexroad lets go of the rubber guard and pulls Malbrough into him. The crowd is growing restless looking for a stand up. Malbrough stands up and tries to better his position. He looks for a heel but Malbrough clears it. Malbrough dives in and lands a hard shot to the downed Rexroad. Rexroad sits up but Malbrough shoves him back down and is in side control. That’s where the round finishes. 10-9 Malbrough.
Rd2:Malbrough pushes in and Rexroad lands a big right hand that floors Malbrough. Rexroad pounces and works to take the back. He lands some shots before flattening out Malbrough and finishing with a rear naked choke. Great fight.

Rd1:Eric shoots in early and scores the takedown. Schambari works to side control. Craig rolls over to his knees but Schambari has his head. He has the knee ready to strike but Craig wisely keeps one knee grounded. Craig bounces up but Schambari takes him down again. He works to his back and has both hooks in. Rear naked is deep but Craig fights through it. Schambari still on his back. Back to the feet and Craig lands a nice kick. A right hand stumbles Schambari and another one drops him. Craig pounces and starts to unload. Schambari will survive. Hell of a round. 10-9 Craig, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see it the other way.
Rd2: After a brief feeling out Schambari dives for a takedown. Craig stuffs it and walks away. He shoots again and misses. Back to the feet and Craig lands a good leg kick. A second one. Schambari rushes in and Craig tags him and he slips to the floor. Schambari again shoots. This time he gets in against the cage but Craig defends well. Schambari drops for a second leg and elevates Craig with a slam. Craig wall walks and is up quickly. Schambari looks tired. Craig with a head kick that lets out a sick thud against the skull. He drops and Craig attacks. Schambari recovers though and is pushing for a takedown. He gets the takedown but can’t do anything with it before the round ends. 10-9 Craig.
Rd3:Another good head kick lands flush for Craig. Schambari is cut. He comes in with some wild punches that back Craig off him but do little else. Schambari shoots against the cage and scores it. Craig working from half guard. Schambari working for a kimura but Craig defends. Halfway point of the round. Craig sits up and is to his feet. Schambari comes in for another shot. Craig hits a switch and is on his back. Schambari rolls over and Craig goes for an arm triangle. He can’t get past the half guard though and works to mount. Craig with the ground and pound but gives him too much space and they are back up. Standing guillotine by Craig. He can’t finish it but he is still the aggressor. Another head kick from Craig. Schambari grabs it and drives him to the cage but can’t finish the takedown. 10-9 Craig.

OK guys, this is Barry. I’m taking over for AJ.
Rd1: Glove touch and here we go. Inside leg kick by Macaco. Both guys measuring. Spratt has the center of the cage and Macaco is circiling the outside. Both guys are measuring but that’s to be excpected in a 5 round fight. Macaco working leg kicks early. Tie up for a brief moment but nothing happens. Macaco wifs with a lead hook. Spratt had Macaco up against the cage and threw a couple of crisp punches but Macao ducked under and shot. Across the cage and now up against it. They come out of the clinch and Macaco is bleeding from the bridge of his nose. Mike Jackson keeps yelling for Spratt to go to the body. I kind of wish Spratt would do it so the Truth would shut up about it. (love you truth). Pete finding a rhythm here and landing a bit more. Macaco still working kicks but Pete catches one. Nasty head kick by Spratt blocked. And another. Nice round.
I have Spratt winning the round.
Rd2: Spratt opens with a kick. Macaco charges forward behind some punches and goes for the takedown. Up against the cage now and Macaco goes for a single. Macaco gets it but Pete bounces right back up. Macaco pulls guards…or Pete took him down with a whiizzer not sure. Pete on top but after a bit of work he bounces up, wanting to continue on the feet. Another kick caught by Spratt. Macaco goes down but then bounce back up. Macaco fakes a shot and Pete fakes a sprawl. Nice exchange by both guys, pole was in the way so I dont know what it was, sorry. 10 seconds left and both guys trade. Macaco misses on a front kick ala Anderson Silva.
I give that round to Pete.
Rd3:Macaco is dripping sweat like melting ice cicle right now. Nice jab by Pete. Macaco follows it with a 1,2 kick. Macao comes forward and a HUGE uppercut by Macao . Both fighter go crazy trading and Macaco DROP SPRATT WITH A HOOK! WOW he didn’t pounce right away. As he does, Pete gives up his back. Macaco takes him down with a rear naked, but DAAAAMN Pete stands up. That’s crazy. Falling to the ground again Pete gets out some how. Macaco still has his back. Now they stand again and Macaco gets a single leg. Nice job. Macaco on top now trying to work form half guard. Pete doing a good job of stalling. Man back on their feet both guys walk away for a moment and meet in the middle and touch gloves as a show of respect. 10 seconds left and both guys just look at each other.
I give that round to Macaco.
Rd4:Both guys hug to start the round. Both guys look a little spent. That was odd, Spratt with a kick thinks it might of hit the groin and backs away saying sorry. Macaco motions like don’t worry about it, lets go. OH, Macaco comes in with his head down and Pete hits him with an uppercut. Oh shit same thing, shoot upper cut. This time Macaco leads with his head and Pete lands a NASTY hook. That was LOUD. Macaco keeps shooting and leading with his head like a honey badger (he don’t give a shit about eating punches). Macaco keeps droping his hands, he looks tired. Pete isn’t attacking but is landing some clean shots. head kick blocked by Macaco and counters with a nice right.
I give that one to Spratt.
Rd5:Another hug to start the round. 1,2 head kick by Macaco doesn’t do much. Pete counters with a shot. Both guys just throwing one punch at a time. Macaco is ducking under shots, if Spratt throws a waist high kick he could end it. Agasint the cage Pete has an overhook. Pete kind of walks away and Macaco gives chase. They both start running, no lie. They are running as Macaco chases Pete he throws a hook and pete ducks under it. That was fun. Lull in the action but they end up agains the cage. Macaco working and finally gets Pete’s back. standing RNC attempt again. 10 seconds left…Pete slams him to the mat at the bell.
I give the last round to macaco.

Thanks to all of the fighters, it was a great night of fights. Crowd was actually really good but by the time Pete and Macaco fought it really emptied out. It was a shame that so many people left before the main event because they missed a good one.

@ MICK: i’ve been a Legacy fan for years, even attended the muay thai show. but after all the successful years; you ought to be ashamed of your 170 lbs main event card. no disrespect to the fighters but if Anderson Silva can get heat for show-boating. Mich should come down on his fighters too. Everybody left because it was a boring fight. I am not questioning the hear or skills of the fighters but what about the 60+ couple sitting next to me left during half fight saying “Not worth the money i paid.”
Fan….each fighter has at least 10 poeple that come and c them on ( regular events ) but tv fights…. Everybody wants the family tree( big section r sold for one fighter)……..so if that fighter happen to win do u think they r going to stay ——– r going out with the guy that just knock out someone on national. Tv ….( larry) did u c how many red shirt where in the crowe(crowd )anyway……tv event hard to handle…….can’t please everyone..just

So what you are saying is that they got to see 10 incredible fights but when they got to a fight they didn’t like they thought it wasn’t worth the money? I thought the first three rounds of the main event was everything you could ask for in a fight and in the 4 th and 5th they slowed down. the co main event had one of houstons best prospects defeat an excellent fighter that is ranked number 33 in the world and pit himself on the national map. We had KO’s, subs, split decisions and amazing comebacks. I am proud of every single person that participated on the card last night. They came in shape and put on one hell of a show. If I thought differently I would say so but quite frankly I couldnt possibly disagree with you more.
Please don’t get me wrong I appreciate your support and feedback. We are not always going to hit it out of the park but i thought last night was pretty bloody awesome.
I thought the fights were actually pretty good . I wish I had the chance to see Garcia get into rhythm but he did his thing . Always heard ike doing big things , I’m not sure if he cut a lot of weight or what but he looked some what tired . Like I said Pete got robbed and someone needs to teach Jorge some boxing . Much props to real Texan my boy Spratt .
Mick: Dont take me wrong bro, there were all awesome fights on the card. Whole card was stacked, trust me; i wouldnt miss DEADMAU5 concirt to be there if it wasn’t. Just dont think main event lived upto the hype. just my opinion that is, still congratulations to all the fighters. Craig, Crowe, Rexroad; AMAZING WINS guys.
p/s: cant deny the fact that arena looked much emptier compared to what it use to be in other legacy events and fighter walk-out music wasnt the very best cordinated either. Either way i will support Houston mma and legacy events.

@fan i really do appreciate your feedback. I didn’t really notice anything about the walkin music and believe me when I tell you if we are only one second slow on coordinating all of the production it becomes a major issue with tv so we are pretty tight on all of that. We actually sold more tickets than at the last Legacy by about 300. We were only a couple of hundred people short of a sell out although I guess in a way you are right because we are getting kind of used to selling out. the biggest difference I noticed is people not staying for the main event but it was a long night and there was a lot of big wins that required an early exit to go celebrate. I loved them all
@ Mick. This was ATT Beaumont’s first time with your show. It was the best organized promotion we have been to in 4 years. As far as the judges go, I have yet to attend an event where I agreed with every decision. Judges from different backgrounds see different things. Best advice is not to leave the decision in the judges hands. Sorry to the fans who were disappointed and congrats to all the winners. Looking forward to the next event.

Our main event was the main event because it was for a title and it was two MMA legends fighting for it. Truth be told you got 11 main events last night and if you didnt like one you had ten more. Our goal is to have every fight be one you look forward to not just one. Most of the fights last night could have been a “main event” on any other night. Our walkin music is “coordinated” by four different people, mistakes happen from time to time especially when its live and because we are all human but our coordination is on par with the biggest MMA organizations in the world. I can say that because honestly its not really me its the entire Legacy team, Arena and HDNet team making it happen and they are the best.
So I’m going to have to be the one to say it, I guess. I don’t believe either fighter deserves that belt, IMO Mike B is still the Legacy Welterweight Champ. Great night of fights Mick, you don’t have control of how your fighters perform once the door closes, and you have no control of TDLR. I’m sure I’ve attended every Pro/Am fight you have promoted in Houston and I can’t recall 1 show that was a total “flop”. So my hat’s off to you, and I’m still campaigning…MICK FOR MAYOR, lol. But, neither one of those guys seemed to fight like they wanted the belt, and I don’t think they will keep it long, there are too many HUNGRY fighters that want some of the spotlight you have brought to our MManiac community. Mike, come take that belt back, bend patino over your knee and spank him with YOUR belt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to shake my head to anyone that has anything negative to say about those fights. They were awesome all the way around, including the Spratt vs. Macaco fight. Fan, have you ever fought 3, 5 minute rounds?? and then 2 more 5 minute rounds for a title?? I can tell you, 3,5′s are exhausting, let alone 5. Spratt and Macaco are both world class, they have fought all over Earth for many many years. They went in there and threw down. Mick you are the man, and these fights are on another level than anyone here has ever had. And to all those who want to say something negative about the fights or the production I leave you with this

WOW…the stupidity of some people never cease to amaze me. I echo what Mr. Schindler says above, how in the hell can you say ANYTHING negative about the fights (other than questionable judging in two of them)??? The crowd? I can say this…after being around Houston MMA for many years, many have no concept of actual MMA but do a great job of strictly supporting “their fighter”. I’m not saying that in a negative way, just that many come strictly for a particular fight then once it is over, they leave. I haven’t seen that in many other cities that I’ve visited/lived and watched live MMA. Most fans stay until the main event. Hell, I noticed people leaving after the 4th fight because they all had on the same shirt and their guy was “done”.
And to those that complain about the main event not having the “action” that YOU thought it should…I also agree with Adam above when he suggests that before complaining and running your dick ticklers, go try and do something similar for 25 minutes. I don’t even like driving for 25 minutes, much less getting punched in the face knowing that at any time, one punch could end my night. It’s just funny to come here and read what these miserable people have to say while complaining. Is your life that bad?
To ALL involved in this Legacy show, I stand and applaud everything. From start to finish, it was the most professionally ran show, most energized production, and most action packed fights that I’ve seen live in a long time. I sure hope that you only focus on the positive feedback Mick and not let the idiots ruin what was a PERFECT night.
I just watched the macaco/spratt fight. I think there was lots of action in the fight. Im not seeing what some have seen. There were many hihg energy moves and both of these guys were really battling. It was a gutsy perfromance. i mean to me i saw a war. I could see the effort and boh of these guys ate hard shots. Macaco is a machine and eats fists for lunch but to fans they need to know that getting hit hurts your cardio…scientifically someone needs to break this down for me but all the fighters i know find it harder to breath and that they are gassing whe they get stunned. i saw very explosive punches from both guys. That takes a lot out of you. Great fights. P.s. i saw the title fight going to Macaco. I had him winning rnds 3, 4, 5.
I have nothing but utmost respect for the guys that fought, Mucaco is a beast and arguably one of the best in Houston jiu-jitsu circle. but in all fairness, i dont see either one being as well-rounded as Mike B. That’s merely my opinion, stop being butt-hurt about it.
Anyways, Good luck to the champion, I know Rexroad, Jonathan Harris and a few others are starring rite at the belt.
@ Fan, now your just back peddling. If you don’t remember what you said, it’s a good thing it was in print for me to remind you. No one is butt hurt, not me at least. I’m just saying what you said was wrong, which it is, and now your changing your story. So as a reminder, this is what you said… not what you implied above ^^^.
@ MICK: i’ve been a Legacy fan for years, even attended the muay thai show. but after all the successful years; you ought to be ashamed of your 170 lbs main event card. no disrespect to the fighters but if Anderson Silva can get heat for show-boating. Mich should come down on his fighters too. Everybody left because it was a boring fight. I am not questioning the hear or skills of the fighters but what about the 60+ couple sitting next to me left during half fight saying “Not worth the money i paid.”
I’ll leave it alone, I just want you to realize what you said was wrong, and man up about it rather than back peddling trying to save it. Apologize admit fault, and all is right in the world.

what part of “no disrespect to the fighters” did you not get? I’m not back paddling either, just saying Craig’s fight could’ve been the main event. Main event was weak compared to rest of the card. I refuse to believe that either one of the fighters are better or as good as some upcoming 170 lbs.
