According to MMAJunkie.com, Jeff Rexroad has lost his Legacy opponent for the second time in a week. He was originally slated to fight Paul Kelly, but visa problems prevented that fight from taking place. So, Legacy CEO Mick Maynard went out and found another UFC veteran in Efrain Escudero to take his place.
Unfortunately for Rexroad and Maynard, Escudero got the call from the UFC to return at UFC 141 to fill in for the injured TJ Grant against Jacob “Christmas” Volkmann.
The good news is, Maynard has let TheCageDoor.net know that there will still be a fight. “I have several options available right now. Jeff Rexroad is going to fight on the 16th, it’s just a matter of ironing out the details. We have some national options, and we have a very good local option.”
Stay tuned to TheCageDoor.net for details on the replacement as soon as we get word from Legacy.
UPDATE: According to Mick Maynard, an agreement is in place for Jeff Rexroad to fight Larry Crowe at 175 lbs. Crowe, 5-1, is on a four fight win streak and most recently knocked out Ike Villanueva at Legacy FC 8.
