It appears that the tourney organizer has decided to change the age group for the kids.
I believe this is a bad idea having such a big spread 5-8 years old(9-12). If you have a child that is 5 and he or she has to go up against a kid that is 8 or almost 9 the coordination and strenght level is to great same for 9 having to go up against a kid that is almost a teenager. Even if they are in the same weight class. You had the age groups right the first time 5-7 and 8-10.
I hope you will decide to change it back.

I totally agree on the age brackets, 5-7 was accurate.
